VOLUNTEER ON TEAM

Magnitude is a family. And, like any family, it takes lots of people getting stuck in for it to all come together.

That’s where we need your help. We couldn’t do what we do without an exceptional team of volunteers giving up valuable time to help the event run as smoothly as possible. So, if you are full of energy, skills and passion, willing to get stuck in and want to have all the fun whilst doing it, you’ll fit right in!

Whether you have a passion for prayer or a heart for making people feel at home, there are tons of opportunities for you to volunteer with us. Check out the information below and sign up to be part of the hands-on, dedicated, can-do team that keeps Magnitude ticking.

Please note, volunteers must be available from the morning of Saturday 19 July until lunchtime on Thursday 24 July at Lendrick Muir. Some teams will be required to be on site from Friday 18th July, however we would confirm that with you closer to the festival.

prayer & SPACE TEAM

We all have questions and sometimes just need someone to listen as we try and find some answers. SPACE is a safe space for young people to talk about anything! We need a team of people, ready to listen and pray with young people. We love making space for God to meet with us during ministry times and, as we encourage our atendees to pray for one another, we need a wonderful prayer team to be on hand in the main meetings to make sure everyone is alright and to answer any questions.

CAFÉ or CATERING TEAM

Cafés are a huge part of Magnitude as they provide a social space to chill and hang out with friends. As you volunteer in our venues you will be responsible to ensure that your café is looking great, fully stocked with cake and drinks and that you are serving people in a timely and friendly manner. Alternatively, could you lend a hand to the Lendrick Muir catering team who help to feed the 180 volunteers on site.

COMMS & INFO TEAM

The Comms team are pretty important. They sort things out, make sure any emergencies are dealt with calmly and effectively, use the power of the two way radio communications system and are generally helpful people to go to if you have a problem with anything practical on site. The Info team are on hand throughout the day to help with enquiries and are the first point of call for all attendees.

FIRST AID TEAM

Are you a first aider, doctor, nurse or physio? If so then we would be so chuffed if you could give up a few days of your precious time to serve the amazing (and sometimes accident prone) young people who come to Magnitude.

KIDS TEAMS

The main role of this team is to provide a fun and God-focussed place for the kids who attend Magnitude. Our kids group have their own mix of fun, worship, teaching and ministry covering everything any 0-10 year old could want.

SITE TEAM

Can you use a pallet truck? Do you like building stuff or packing things away? Do you love using your Tetris skills to load lorries, vans, cars and other vehicles? If so, we could use you help on either our site team.

SPORTS TEAM

Ever wondered who makes the Fun Run happen? Or the football tournament? Or even organises the volleyball games? That would be the mighty sports team!

STEWARDING TEAM

This team are the amazing people on the ground who interact with delegates, youth leaders, and visitors! If you can think on your feet and have great customer service skills, then we would love you to help us be the face of Magnitude!

PRODUCTION & MEDIA TEAM

Do you know your way around a PA system? Any idea what the word 'gain' means in a sound engineering context? Our production team are responsible for all of our sound and AV in our venues.

VILLAGE HOST TEAM

The village hosts are a key part of our site management team, providing a caring, practical support system for delegates and their youth leaders. The village host will oversee the campsite and will be responsible for dealing with any minor issues that may arise throughout the week. Your main roles will include patrolling the site, sending people back to their villages, keeping the main meeting venue and other venues secure and, with the Night Comms team, dealing with any issues that arise.

Magnitude team leaders will be provided with an event pass, accommodation and three meals a day. We would love to provide accommodation for all of our amazing volunteers, however we might ask some of you to camp in our wonderful camping village.

If you're interested in being part of the team, please apply online through SU Scotland, and include information about your relevant experience. We will review your application and references then be in touch to approve your team place.
